Speak In Your Own Voice, Even If Someone Else Is Doing It

The voice of your company should have a personality and style that gives people an understanding of who you are.  Too many companies pass that torch to anyone with free time to tweet, or even write blogs, on their behalf without discussing what the tone of the messages should be.  This Dilbert strip is not too far from the truth of how a lot of companies quickly lose control of their public voice.  Whether you are doing it yourself, or outsourcing your social media management, stop and make sure you are projecting how you want to be precieved by your customers.
